With only a few months left before the tournament begins, now is the time to start planning your trip. You should stay at one of the luxury hotels in Doha, such as The St. Regis Doha or Hilton Doha. Getting around

In order to get around, you will need a valid driver's license and international driving permit. If you don't have these, you'll need an International Driving Permit. You can get one at the nearest embassy or consulate in your home country before coming here. 
You will also need a car that is registered and insured before it can be driven on Qatari roads. It is illegal for anyone other than its owner to drive it.

The opening match is scheduled for Friday, November 21, 2026, and will take place at the Lusail Stadium. The name of this stadium was revealed on April 10, 2013, three years before its planned opening. The stadium will have a capacity of 86,250 and will be located just outside Doha. All matches from the quarterfinals onwards are set to be played at this venue.
