Pele is not giving up cancer

The legendary Brazilian footballer was admitted to the hospital last month due to a physical illness.
He was treated for a colon tumor at Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo.
Pele, 61, had his colon tumor removed last year. Since then he has been bringing chemotherapy.
Pel was admitted to Albert Einstein Hospital last Wednesday. A statement from the organization said Pele was "released on Thursday and is in good health."

The sports TV network ESPN had earlier reported that the former player of Santos and New York Cosmos had been diagnosed with tumors in the intestines and liver and another tumor was growing in his lungs. Pele has to go to the hospital to make sure that cancer has settled somewhere else in the body. read more

Only Albert Einstein Hospital has confirmed the treatment of Pel's colon tumor. However, pele's business manager did not deny or acknowledge ESPN's report.

Pele surgically removed a colon tumor from the body in September last year.

Pele has been having occasional physical problems in recent years. He had earlier undergone surgery on his waist due to difficulty in walking. Even though it did not come out in public like that, the legends of 1958, 1962, and 1970 World Cup winners are quite popular on social media. see more

This time, after being released from the hospital, Pele made a post on social media about the legendary Brazilian samba singer Elza Suarez. Suarez, who shared the title of the best singer of the millennium with Tina Turner in a BBC Radio poll, died yesterday.

Pele's late ex-girlfriend Mane Garrincha's wife was Elza Suarez. Garrincha and Suarez were teammates in the 1958 and 1962 World Cups. Garrincha was instrumental in Brazil's '82 World Cup victory.
